With the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and generative AI across various industries and sectors, PSA participated in a Roundtable co-hosted by Singapore’s Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo and the United States (US) Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo.

The Roundtable served as an avenue for both countries to discuss the areas of collaboration and responsible development of AI between Singapore and US. The Roundtable was also attended by organisations such as Apple, Amazon Web Services, Meta, Microsoft, Google, Grab, and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

As a global leader in port operations, PSA has been using AI to optimise its complex processes and achieve service excellence. Representing PSA at the Roundtable to share the progress and achievements at our terminals, Regional Head of IT, Southeast Asia, Colin Yip covered our contributions to the local AI ecosystem and in the maritime industry. Among others, he shared that PSA Singapore has been using AI in areas such as terminal safety and traffic orchestration at Tuas port to enhance productivity and resilience, as well as in haulier communities for more productive and sustainable trucking operations.
