PSA SECH in Genoa achieved a significant milestone by welcoming the MSC ANITA, the largest container vessel to ever call on the terminal on 13 March 2024. With a capacity of 16,520 TEUs, the ship has set a new benchmark for the terminal, surpassing the previous record held by the CMA CGA SCANDOLA in January 2022, which had a capacity of 15,128 TEUs.

MSC ANITA, measuring 366 metres in length and 61 metres in width, operates on MSC’s Dragon service, connecting Far Eastern ports such as Shanghai, Singapore, and Busan with Mediterranean ports like Naples, Genoa, Fos-sur-Mer, and Barcelona.

PSA Italy General Manager Roberto Ferrari expressed his delight at the new record: “Since we acquired PSA SECH in 2020, the terminal has become an increasingly important part of our operations in Genova and provides great synergy with our PSA Genova Pra’ terminal, which provides hinterland connections as well.”
