PSA Chennai is a subsidiary of PSA International, one of the leading global port groups and trusted partner to cargo stakeholders, PSA Chennai started operations in 2009 and has achieved 10 millionth TEU benchmark in May 2023. It handled more than 860,000 TEUS throughput in 2023. PSA Chennai was accredited with multiple Exim achievement awards and won the South East Cargo & Logistics Awards – Container Terminal of the Year awards in 2013, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020-2021,2022 & 2023.

Strategic Location
PSA Chennai operates within Chennai Port one of the 12 Major Ports in India, which is strategically located on the southeastern coast of India, close to many key manufacturing, industrial and economic zonal development centres. The Terminal serves numerous container corridors for South India states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Pondicherry. Chennai also houses the automobile manufacturing giants in the country.
The Terminal is connected to India’s railway network with its on-dock rail siding facilities and is positioned to serve the growing rail traffic, which the Government of India has been promoting. PSA Chennai is also well connected by road to the hinterland markets owing to its proximity to national highways NH4, NH5 and NH45.
