PSA Chennai comprises of 28 Hectares of land with additional 7 Hectares ready for future expansion. With a quay length of 832M, the Terminal can accommodate 3 vessels alongside. The Terminal quay faces west, away from the Bay of Bengal thus is well protected and is an all-weather port. This unique design enables PSA Chennai to ensure hassle free vessel operations in all conditions.
PSA Chennai administrative building is located inside the Terminal. The management and staff are close to the daily operations and can readily address the immediate requirements of our customers. The Terminal offers a dedicated yard to facilitate customs, enabling inspection of DPD containers.
The terminal has three fully computerized gates complex for truck movements:
- Four “ IN” lanes to receive Exports
- Two “ OUT” lanes for delivery of Imports
- One “ IN” lane for empty import delivery trailers via East Gate with separate road access
PSA Chennai is the only terminal in Chennai to have two on-dock rail sidings enabling direct vessel connectivity to hinterland origin & destined consignments.
